Why Music

STG Presents Why Music on Sunday, October 25, 2009 with a diverse lineup of Seattle's extraordinary musical talent in genres that include Jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, classical, indie rock and musical traditions from around the world. In the spirit of service, these musicians have come together to demonstrate the power of music and support a bold new national initiative happening right here in Seattle.

Often referred to as a musical Peace Corps, MusicianCorps is a new musicians-in-service program created by Music National Service and launched locally in partnership with Seattle's own Arts Corps. This initiative is building a national model for the Artist and Musician Corps championed by President Obama.
