Mozart Dances offers a visually stimulating, elegant, and often tender display of movement and technique.  Set to two Mozart piano concertos – No. 11 in F and No. 27 in B-flat – flanking his Sonata in D for Two Pianos, the piece is danced against evocative backdrops by Howard Hodgkin. This critically-acclaimed evening-length piece showcases Morris’ skillful blending of folk dances, balletic partnering, and ensemble sculptures.  Rich and rewarding, and performed with the Dance Group’s trademark combination of lyricism and astounding precision, Mozart Dances marks the company's highly anticipated return to Seattle after last season's L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato.

Mozart Dances was commissioned by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (New York), New Crowned Hope (Vienna), and the Barbican Centre (London).

Opening Night Karaoke Party with Mark Morris Dance Group!
Friday, May 1st

Immediately following the performance of “Mozart Dances,” join world-renowned choreographer Mark Morris and the Mark Morris Dance Group as we transform The Paramount Theatre lobby into a raging Karaoke party! Last year, this party was an absolute blast as patrons, dancers, and staff took turns on the microphone. Proceeds from this event will benefit STG and help support future engagements with Mark Morris Dance Group.

21+ only.
$20 per person. Appetizers and drinks included with ticket price.
Party ticket does not include entrance to the “Mozart Dances” performance. You must have a ticket to “Mozart Dances” in order to attend the Karaoke Party.
