Seattle Theatre Group Education and Community Programs extend beyond The Paramount, Moore and Neptune Theatre stages and into the lives of the greater Seattle community. Each season, STG offers over 200 education engagements impacting over 24,000 students and community members from diverse ages and backgrounds.

These programs

  • Deepen significance to performances through opportunities to engage with artists
  • Inspire youth and local artists through training and performance opportunities
  • Provide exposure to the arts through access initiatives

SEATTLE YOUTH DANCE COLLECTIVE A program for high school dancers ages 15-18 with an interest in growing as choreographers, as well as dancers.

Silent Film Era & Mighty Wurlitzer Organ – 60-minute lecture/demonstration
Monday, March 4, 2013, 11 am at The Paramount Theatre
Grades 3-12, FREE
Step back in time to the 1920s at the historic Paramount Theatre! Hear The Paramount's Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, view a short silent film, and learn about the music, history and theatre of the silent film era. Organist, Jim Riggs, will lead this one-hour lecture/demonstration. Tours of the theatre available before and afterwards for interested groups (please specify with reservation).

Young artist talent and collaboration are celebrated in the 12th annual More Music @ The Moore. The performance features exceptional local teen musicians mixing up diverse music styles. More Music @ The Moore features the rich musical talent of youth in our community and provides musicians, regardless of what style they play, the opportunity to make music together.
