Broadway + Performing Arts Workshop Series

A monthly series of workshops featuring local, national and Broadway guest artists for young aspiring dancers. Students will work with artist from shows and companies from Seattle Theatre Group’s 2023-2024 season that include HADESTOWN, MJ The Musical, Book of Mormon, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, dani tirell and The Congregation and more! Each workshop series will consist of 2 classes held one Saturday a month from October - April. Based on show/artist availability, subject to change. This program is in partnership with the University of Washington’s Department of Dance.

****ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY – DANCE This Youth Choreographer’s Lab****
STG’s DANCE This Youth Choreographer’s Lab is an 8-month program where selected participants will have the opportunity to bring their personal artist visions to life. Students will have various workshop classes, along with choreographic mentorship by local and international dance artists of various styles of dance. Youth choreographers will also participate in the Broadway & Performing Arts Workshop Series.

FREE for selected applicants
Those who apply and are accepted will be required to attend the Broadway Performing Arts Workshop Series in the morning and continue to an afternoon session with the cohort working with mentors and guest artists.

DANCE This Youth Choreographer’s Lab (VOLUNTEER DANCER)
Volunteer as a dancer for one of our youth choreographers and be part of the mentorship and creative process of this program. Must be able to attend all dates of the Workshop Series and continue the day from 1:30-5:00pm.
