Pop-Up Donor Center for Bloodworks Northwest at The Paramount
Monday - Wednesday, February 22 - 24, 2021
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Seattle Theatre Group and Bloodworks Northwest will continue their partnership to save lives in the local community. Following the success of previous Pop-Up Donor Centers at the historic venues, STG will once again open the doors of The Paramount Theatre to host a Pop-Up Donor Center. As the venue is currently closed for shows, the space will instead be put to use as a lifeline for patients in the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to the strain in opportunities to donate due to business, schools, event closures, the winter remains a challenging time for blood collections: with cold, inclement weather, donors are less likely to venture out. Pop-Up Donor Centers are critical to ensuring a safe and reliable blood supply and are held in a large setting, allowing higher level of space and safety for donors and staff.
First-time and repeat donors are urged to make their one-hour donation appointment today as a safe and essential action. In accordance with current social distancing guidelines, only scheduled appointments will be allowed. No walk-ins, guests, or people under age 16 are permitted onsite. Donors are required to bring a mask/face covering to their donation. All blood types are urgently needed, but Type O is especially in demand.
