STG Presents and Mo-Dazz for the Arts welcome Fire and Ice - Dance for a Cure to The Paramount Theatre on April 30, 2017.
This is the 12th annual Dance for a Cure which is a fantastic event benefiting the Fred Hutchinson Research Center and the Pete Gross House. This event is a Mo-dazz for the Arts production featuring pre-professional dancers aging from 7-18. The Executive Director of the event owns Elizabeth’s Dance Dimensions in Kirkland and was inspired to start Dance for a Cure as a result of her sister’s cancer diagnosis. This year’s theme is Fire & Ice.
So, why "Fire & Ice," and how does it tie into the mission of Dance for a Cure?
These two elemental forces can both cause destruction, as does Cancer.
Fire; an inferno
Fire; an inspiring passion.
Ice; may freeze us with fear.
Ice; soothing and healing.
Fire & Ice together can create a canvas of deep desire to fight, survive and ultimately find a cure for this devastating disease.
