STG Presents Anderson Cooper at The Paramount Theatre on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Relentless, fearless and locked onto the truth like a heat-seeking missle. Each of these qualities has made veteran journalist Anderson Cooper one of the most recognizable faces on television. Whether recounting his probing of would-be leaders of the free world at a presidential debate or his experiences reporting rom the front lines of natural disasters and brual conflicts around the globe, Cooper shares the heady view from his front row seat to history. Audiences will appreciate his candor and even-handed assessment of current events both at home and abroad as well as his light-hearted take on popular culture.

Anderson Cooper is the anchor of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360°, a global newscast that goes beyond the headlines with in-depth reporting and investigations. Since the start of his career in 1992, Cooper has worked in more than 40 countries and has covered nearly all major news events around the world, often reporting from the scene. Cooper also has played a pivotal role in CNN's political and election coverage. He has anchored from conventions and moderated several presidential primary debates and town halls. In 2016, Cooper was selected by the Committee on Presidential Debates to comoderate one of the three debates between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. In addition to his shows on CNN, Cooper also is a regular correspondent for CBS's 60 Minutes.

At CNN and 60 Minutes, Cooper has won a number of major journalism awards. He helped lead CNN's Peabody Award winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and DuPont award winning coverage of the 2004 tsunami off the coast of Indonesia. Throughout his career, Cooper has won 16 Emmy Awards, including two for his coverage of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and an Edward R. Murrow award.

Complementing his intensity as a journalist, Cooper has extended his popular appeal through congenial, light-hearted stints as a guest host on LIVE WITH KELLY AND RYAN, host since 2002 of CNN’s NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE special and frequent guest on Bravo’s WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE, hosted by his good friend Andy Cohen. In 2015, the duo took their banter on the road, launching a popular mantional speaking tour, AC2: An Intimate Evening with Anderson Cooper & Andy Cohen, and it was recently announced they will co-host this year’s CNN New Years special.

In 2016, THE RAINBOW COMES AND GOES: A MOTHER AND SON ON LIFE, LOVE, AND LOSS—a collection of correspondence betwen Anderson and his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, debuted at teh top of teh New York Times Best Sellers List. Cooper’s first book, DISPATCHES FROM TEH EDGE: A MEMOIR OF WARS, DISASTER, AND SURVIVAL, also topped the New York Times’ and other best seller charts in 2006.
