WHAT IS STG’S COMMUNITY ADVISORY GROUP (CAG)?
Seattle Theatre Group’s Community Advisory Group (CAG) creates and holds space for the greater Puget Sound BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, living with disabilities and/or Neurodivergent Communities to gather and converse; empowering individuals to participate, share knowledge and support the art they want to experience; thereby making STG venues and programs safe and accessible for all.
Seattle Theatre Group is greatly indebted to those who participate and share their knowledge, stories and passion for the arts.

GOALS
- Maintain and grow STG’s relationships with communities in a sustainable and genuine manner.
- Provide a place where artists and arts supporters can collaborate, create, and grow their artistic connections.
- Receive feedback on potential curated and programmed STG events and how these events can serve and best impact community.
- Share mutual resources based on needed support including: space, art industries mentorship, gear, materials, and promotion.
- Understand how we can make STG a safe and accessible space for community members to engage in a meaningful way where desired – whether it’s as audience members, patrons, participants and students, artists, crew, and/or office staff.
- Facilitate a place for difficult, honest, and open conversation within the scope of arts and with a position of respect.

- Special invitations to community conversations, meet the artist events, pre/post show discussions, and master classes

2025-2026 cohort
Angela Russell
Whether it is for television, radio or for a theatrical stage, Angela loves bringing untold stories to the forefront. Most recently, she co-hosted the award-winning television shows “Evening” and “Take 5” on KING 5 in Seattle; but her career has taken her all over the country, from the deep south to the northeast. Angela’s work in TV news earned her a National Gracie Award and previously, a Northwest Emmy Award. Angela has spent the last decade expanding the reach of her storytelling through diverse mediums, including film, through a project with Lifetime Movie Network. Currently, she is a Playwright in Residence at Seattle Public Theatre, where she is busy developing a new musical. She is also a Contributing Host for KIRO News Radio and a regular producer of their daily commentaries. Angela is also thrilled to be working as a producer on the newly launched TV show “Traveling While Black,” debuting on Fox Soul in October.
Anne Lewis
Anne Lewis is a lifelong Seattleite. She has been a longtime supporter of the local arts and live entertainment scene. She is a retired social worker who continues to participate as an advocate for people with all kinds of disabilities because she also has a physical disability herself. She is a local stand-up comic who most recently had the honor and thrill of performing at the 2024 Bumbershoot festival.

Gregory Jamiel
Greg Jamiel’s journey spans from Rhode Island to Washington State, with stops in Hartford, Phoenix, and Portland along the way. For the past seven years, he has proudly called Carnation and the Snoqualmie Valley home. His professional experience is both vast and diverse, beginning with a successful career in television as Art Director for Meredith Corporation, overseeing the art departments for 13 stations and the nationally syndicated BetterTV show. During this time, Greg earned three Emmy Awards for his exceptional art direction and design work.
Following the economic downturn of 2008, Greg pivoted by purchasing and expanding a yoga studio in Portland, growing it to include a second location. After the loss of his parents, his life took a deeply spiritual turn 15 years ago when he was adopted into a Native American family, inspiring him to combine his storytelling passion with his spiritual journey. This led to the creation of his global television series Explore & Exhale, where he traveled the world to interview locals about their connections to Spirit and the land they inhabit.
Many years ago, Greg founded his marketing company, Voice of the Bear, and continues to help local businesses and nonprofits tell their stories through award-winning visuals and marketing strategies. In 2023, Greg founded Snovalley Pride, the Snoqualmie Valley’s first LGBTQ+ nonprofit, where he continues to strengthen the community by creating safe, healing spaces for queer residents and visitors alike.

Pam Bridges
Pam Bridges is a lifelong learner, educator, advocate, and arts supporter whose career and service reflect a deep commitment to empowering learners and communities. With more than 40 years of professional experience in K–20 education, her career journey began in her hometown of Baltimore, MD and extended across the globe, shaping lives in classrooms and communities from Germany to Hawaii before she retired in the Pacific Northwest.
As the owner and educational advocate/coach of Bridges To Educational Resources, LLC, Pam continues to champion student success and teacher development. Her leadership has also extended beyond the classroom through service as a Board Member for schools, community college and performing arts nonprofit organizations. She is an active and devoted member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Allen AME Church where she contributes her time and talents to driving meaningful community impact.
Pam’s passion for the arts runs parallel to her educational career. An avid supporter of both visual and performing arts—from popular to classical—she emphasizes the importance of sustaining the arts as a vital element of school curricula. She is particularly dedicated to ensuring underserved communities have access to culturally relevant arts education and opportunities that inspire creativity and growth.
A travel enthusiast, Pam’s travels have traversed the globe. She serves as the Pacific Northwest Representative for the award-winning Destined-to-Travel, LLC, a family member owned travel company specializing in immersive African experiences, with a particular expertise in African safaris. Through this role, she helps connect travelers with authentic cultural and natural encounters that highlight the richness and diversity of the African continent.
Above all, Pam treasures her role as the wife of a retired Army Veteran, mother and grandmother. She takes special joy in celebrating the accomplishments of her family, including her daughter, an internationally renowned two-time Grammy Award–winning opera singer whose professional journey launched in 2007 through the Seattle Theatre Group’s outstanding More Music @The Moore music education program.
Stella Gonzalez
Growing up in the Greater Seattle Area, Stella Gonzalez is an advocate for the local arts economy and community. Gonzalez obtained her degree in Art History, American Studies, and Italian Studies from Colby College and has worked curatorial positions at the Colby College Museum of Art, Portland Museum of Art, Maine State Museum, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and The Foundation Claude Monet. She works as an avid writer about art and culture of historically marginalized communities and is a contributing author to Italian Trans Geographies.
Within the last few years, Gonzalez has taken her studies of community building into practice. She has held Community Education/Programming positions at the Greene Block + Studios and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Gonzalez has found a particular passion in creating opportunities for continued education for young professionals in the arts world. Her current work with the Nonprofit Professionals of Color Collective aims to provide C-Suite mentorship, job opportunities, affinity group camaraderie, and world class professional development to BIPOCs in the nonprofit world.
Now, she currently works as an executive-level administrator for the Programs and Events division at Seattle Center, a City of Seattle department. Her work here connects Stella Gonzalez to the arts and culture community that has so lovingly raised her.
Stephanie Ojeda Ponce
Stephanie is an avid reader, music enthusiast, facilitator, and educator in Des Moines, WA. Like relatives and ancestors from the U.S., El Salvador and Mexico, Stephanie enjoys growing fruits and vegetables and raising chickens and waterfowl. Her community, friends, and family drive her commitment to serve the Latine community and students.
Stephanie completed B.A. and M.A. degrees in English at California State University, Bakersfield. Then, she moved to the East Bay (San Francisco) area, working as an adjunct English instructor and K-12 substitute, until moving to the Seattle area in 2014. Currently tenured English faculty at Highline College, Stephanie teaches college writing, research, literature, and diversity and globalism studies. She has facilitated professional development for educators locally and nationally, including at prestigious conferences like the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE). Through discussions and workshops on topics including culturally responsive teaching practices, science fiction, artificial intelligence, pleasure activism, and rest as resistance, Stephanie centers excellence and wellness for students and education practitioners.
