About Young Ambassadors
Young Ambassadors gives youth access to work experience, professional development meetings, and community events. They assist with numerous STG and ECE events such as sensory friendly performances, fundraisers, student matinees, and Instagram takeovers. In monthly meetings, Young Ambassadors hear from local guest artists as well as STG staff, build community with one another and take professional development workshops. And because community is an integral part of the arts, Young Ambassadors attend an array of monthly STG and community performances together.
The mission of this program is to diversify the pool of applicants for arts industry jobs by providing equitable access to work experience. In plain terms- we’ve said goodbye to unpaid apprenticeships for youth. No one should sacrifice income in order to progress in their artistic career, yet this exploitative culture is rampant in the arts community. This needs to change. Young Ambassadors aims to remove financial barriers so that youth from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to learn about career paths in the arts while getting fairly compensated.
Applications for the 2026-2027 cohort are open now! Must be ages 18-21 to apply.

Amelia
My name is Amelia (she/her), I am a sophomore at Roosevelt High School. I am a dancer at ExitSpace School of dance and spend most of my time dancing. I enjoy going to mariners games and watching baseball in my free time!
Anvitha
Hi! My name is Anvi. I have been dancing for 8 years, doing art for 7 years, and playing instruments for 7 years. I am so excited to be part of this program and so excited to meet everyone.
Christian
I’m 16 years old and have experience in multiple stage productions. I try my hardest to bring energy, focus, and creativity to the roles I take on. I love collaborating with others and always aim to grow as a person, trying to keep myself as humble as possible while making a positive impact in the performing arts.

I am a 17yo senior in high school, I like puzzles and video games but especially hanging out with friends.
Julia
Julia is a 16 year old actor and filmmaker. Her passion for both of these things started in elementary school and have only grown as she has. She is currently editing Wildflower, a short film she both wrote and directed. In the coming year, she is hoping to collaborate with more artists and improve her own skill!
Lily
Hi! I’m Lily. Being in this program means so much to me, because I’ve always had a passion for the performing arts. I’m super excited to make a difference in the theater community here in Seattle. Being in theater for almost 8 years has been the best experience of my life. I’ve done everything from acting and singing, to directing, to hair and makeup design! When I’m not doing theater, I love to spend time with my dog Pookie or volunteer at my church. I’d like to thank my mom for her constant support and her willingness to drive me here from central Washington.
Shelby
Shelby (she/her) is a Junior at South Kitsap High School and is super excited to start this new project with STG! She loves all things theater and has been practicing her craft for over a decade. Her favorite parts of the theater world are tap dancing, singing big belty songs, and sharing the stage with amazing actors. As a Christian she loves sharing her faith with the world around her and also loves celebrating being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. She loves all things art and can’t wait to share her creativity with a new amazing group of people.
Sinatra
Hi my name is Sinatra, I’m currently 16 years old, soon to be 17. I enjoy creative writing , dancing, films, and other things related to the arts, and i look forward to getting to know my fellow peers and growing with you all!
Ruohan
Ruohan is a senior at Eastlake High School in Sammamish. She spends most of her free time rereading favorite novels, sabre fencing, and going down rabbit holes of random topics for her poems. Ruohan has played the piano for eleven years, but her musical passion is, in truth, listening to The Neighbourhood while taking a walk around the neighborhood (yes, she makes terrible puns). She also loves tutoring English and hopes to become a writer, editor, or college professor in the future.
