More Music @ The Moore
STG’s More Music @ The Moore features exceptional young musicians mixing up diverse music styles. Artists in the program perform their own works and back up peer musicians in two performances at the Historic and world-renowned Moore Theatre. The production is led by a notable Music Director that will perform alongside the More Music @ The Moore artists
Resonate
Brewing community, professional development, and resources for emerging musicians. Through moderated panel discussions, Resonate will offer emerging artists resources to encourage them to thrive in the Music Business and a network of support and community.
Songwriters Lab
STG’s Songwriters Lab is for young musicians (ages 14 – 19) interested in pursuing their artistic vision as songwriters and lyricists. Under the mentorship of professional musicians, students learn creative approaches to song composition and lyric writing. STG’s Songwriters Lab encourages collaboration across music genres and instrumentation (from guitars to cellos to Reason/Ableton Live and more). All styles of music are welcome!
SONGWRITERS ROOMS
A monthly songwriting meetup designed to foster collaboration, break down barriers in the music community, and provide emerging artists with a space to create together. Hosted at STG’s Kerry Hall, this program will bring musicians from different backgrounds together through rotating songwriting rooms, warm-ups, and networking opportunities.
Soundcheck
National and International touring musicians open their working soundcheck and rehearsals for aspiring young artists to get a behind the scenes view of concerts. Communication with sound, other technical staff, and fellow musicians is witnessed as well as artists’ methods of preparing for their show that evening.
Up Next
Starbucks welcomes up and coming artists have participated in STG’s Songwriters Lab and More Music @ The Moore programs to perform in their stores. Performing in the Up Next series gives them a chance to showcase their original works to a new audience and the community gets to hear the latest from our area’s rising stars in their neighborhood Starbucks locations or online with the support of Starbucks.
